It is made from a lightweight yet durable material. The purpose of the footprint is two-fold: it helps to keep your floor sheet clean by preventing dirt, debris and mud from seeping through, and it also helps add an extra layer of insulation so you are shielded from the cold ground. It is important to ensure that the footprint is fully covered by your awning tent to prevent any rain or moisture from flowing or collecting underneath the floor. Likewise, the edges of the footprint should be well secured as it helps to keep the tent steady and secure during gusty weather or windy conditions.
